AMMAN — Head of the Jordanian National Centre for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC) Raeda Qutob on Tuesday discussed cooperation with a delegation from the US Naval Medical Research Unit, headed by Col. Virginia Blackman.
The meeting addressed future work on communicable diseases, especially acute respiratory diseases, vector-borne diseases and hospital infections and their link to antimicrobial resistance, in addition to the centre's goals, tasks and work strategy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting also reviewed the goals, duties and strategy of JCDC, which was established under Royal directives.
