JCD thwarts drug smuggling attempt at Jaber border crossing

AMMAN — The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) staff at the Jaber border, in cooperation with the security forces, on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 237,000 narcotic Captagon pills, equivalent to 42kg, hidden in a truck loaded with fruits arriving from a neighbouring country.

The JCD called on the public to contact the Anti-Smuggling Operations Centre at the toll-free number 105 concerning any information related to smuggling and violations of the provisions of the customs system.
