AMMAN — Under Royal patronage, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) is scheduled to host the first Jordan-Gulf Investment Conference on December 4, with the aim of exploring investment opportunities in promising strategic sectors in line with the Kingdom's Economic Modernisation Vision.
The event will also coincide with the 65th meeting of the Board of Directors of the GCC Chambers of Commerce, marking the first time the meeting will be held outside the member states, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The conference, jointly organised by the JCC and the GCC chambers, provides a valuable opportunity to boost investment between Jordan and the GCC countries, which would facilitate partnerships and exchange of knowledge, leading to greater economic integration.
The conference will be attended by the GCC secretary general, CEOs of the Gulf chambers and their associations, prominent Gulf businessmen and investors, and heads of various economic, financial and investment organisations.
The agenda will include discussions on investment opportunities in Jordan, showcasing success stories of Gulf investment in the Kingdom, and panel discussions with heads of Gulf delegations and members of the Jordanian economic team.
JCC President Khalil Haj Tawfiq noted that the conference is timely and reflects the Kingdom's efforts in shaping economic policies and promoting stability to create an attractive investment climate.
He stressed the critical need for economic integration between Jordan and the GCC, especially in light of the challenges posed by the ongoing crises affecting the economies of the region.
