AMMAN — The Jordan Businessmen Association (JBA) and the French embassy on Tuesday discussed means to develop economic relations between the two countries, as well as the role of private sector institutions in this regard.

During a meeting between JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa and economic councilor at the French embassy Miriam Safsaf, the two sides reviewed the top methods of utilising investment opportunities and ways to develop ties between the two business communities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Tabbaa expressed the Jordanian business community's interest in enhancing investment and commercial relations between the two countries to increase the commercial exchange volume. The commercial exchange volume between the two countries in 2021 amounted to $328 million, $30 million of which was Jordanian exports to France, such as chemicals, vegetables and other foodstuff, Petra added.
