Japan, NEPCO sign training deal for Palestinian energy employees

AMMAN — The National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to provide training for employees of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA).
The agreement was signed by CEO of NEPCO Amjad Rawashdeh and JICA Chief Representative Miyahara Chie, according to a NEPCO statement. Since 2004, NEPCO and JICA have conducted several training programmes for staff from Iraq’s ministry of power, Yemen’s national electricity company and the PENRA.
