AMMAN — Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi on Monday expressed his country’s support and appreciation for Jordan’s role in combating terror and extremism.
Speaking at an event to mark Japan’s Self-Defence Forces Day on Sunday, the envoy hailed the Kingdom’s humanitarian role in hosting Syrian refugees and its role in preserving regional stability.
Stressing on the two countries' deep-rooted ties which span 65 years, the envoy recalled His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit to Japan last year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the ceremony, the ambassador also briefed attendees about the development and role of Japan’s Self-Defence Forces on national and international levels.
