JAF thwarts infiltration attempt from Syria

AMMAN — The Northern Military Zone thwarted on Monday an infiltration attempt by four individuals from Syria into Jordan.

A source from the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said that rules of engagement were applied, and the individuals were apprehended and handed over to the relevant security authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The source stressed that the JAF will continue to "firmly" counter any threat to the Kingdom’s borders, and will foil any attempts intended to undermine and destabilise the Kingdom's security to terrorise its citizens.
