JAF thwarts infiltration attempt, 2 arrested

AMMAN — Southern Military Zone personnel on Thursday thwarted an infiltration attempt by two Turkish nationals at one of the Kingdom's borders. An official military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said that rules of engagement were applied, which led to the arrest of the two individuals, who were then referred to the relevant authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Stressing JAF's commitment to safeguarding national borders, the source emphasised the army's zero-tolerance policy against all parties involved in any action that threatens national security.
