JAF thwarts infiltration attempt

AMMAN — The Southern Military Zone on Tuesday thwarted an individual’s infiltration attempt into the Jordanian territory. A military source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said that the Border Guard forces swiftly implemented engagement protocols, leading to the infiltrator’s arrest, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The individual was subsequently handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation. Emphasising JAF's unwavering commitment to safeguarding national borders, the source underscored its vigilance in deterring any unlawful activities, including infiltration or smuggling endeavours, stressing that army personnel will remain steadfast in their dedication to preserving Jordan's national security.
