AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) on Wednesday dispatched an aid convoy to the Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus, carrying medical, humanitarian, and relief supplies.
The move is part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support Palestinians in the West Bank and enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide healthcare services, according to a JAF statement.
The convoy, comprising five trucks loaded with medical supplies and food items, was prepared by the Royal Supply and Transport Directorate to sustain the hospital’s operational readiness and support its continued medical services.
JAF said that the Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus continues to carry out its humanitarian and medical duties through specialised medical teams, including doctors, nurses, and technicians, providing healthcare services to patients and helping alleviate their suffering.
The dispatch forms part of the JAF’s sustained efforts to support communities in the West Bank, in line with Royal directives aimed at strengthening humanitarian assistance and enhancing the capacity of medical institutions to meet growing health needs.
Jordan also operates two military field hospitals in Gaza: one in the northern part of the Strip, established in 2009 following the 2008 war, and another in Khan Younis in the south, set up in November 2023 during the escalation of the Israeli war on the enclave following October 7, 2023.
Additional humanitarian initiatives include the land bridge for aid delivery, the mobile bakery project, the “Restoring Hope” initiative providing prosthetics for amputees, and the evacuation of critical medical cases to Jordanian hospitals.
