JAF evacuates 9 sick Gaza children in 29th medical batch

AMMAN — Following Royal directives, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday evacuated the 29th batch of sick children from the Gaza Strip under the “Jordanian Medical Corridor” initiative.

The latest group includes nine children accompanied by 15 family members, who were transported to the Kingdom to receive urgent medical treatment, according to a JAF statement.

The children will receive care at several Jordanian hospitals, as part of Jordan’s ongoing medical and humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Launched in March 2025, the medical evacuation programme is carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO), in line with the highest medical and humanitarian standards.

The Jordanian Medical Corridor, launched by His Majesty King Abdullah, provides continuous healthcare support for sick children from Gaza and forms part of the Kingdom’s broader humanitarian response.

Jordan also operates two military field hospitals in the north and south of the Strip, in addition to a field hospital in Nablus, to provide medical services and assistance to Palestinians.

The initiative reflects Jordan’s continued efforts to deliver healthcare and emergency support to those affected by the conflict.
