AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said it airdropped relief aid into northern Gaza on Tuesday, delivering 6.6 tonnes of vital food supplies to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn Strip.
This operation comes as part of Jordan’s continuous efforts to support the resilience of Palestinians and mitigate the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, according to a JAF statement.
JAF reiterated commitment to delivering aid in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) through an established air bridge, as well as ground convoys, to supply humanitarian and medical assistance to Gaza.
Since the outbreak of the war, JAF said it has carried out a total of 124 aid airdrops into Gaza and facilitated 266 missions in cooperation with allied countries, reflecting the Kingdom’s dedication to supporting Palestinians during these difficult times.
The aid aims to alleviate the severe challenges in Gaza, while Jordanian field hospitals in the war-torn Strip continue to provide critical medical care in the northern and southern regions.
