AMMAN — Various units of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday celebrated Veterans Day in conjunction with the Kingdom's celebrations of its first centennial, with the participation of veterans.
Commanders of the units said that inviting the retirees was upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of JAF and JAF Chairman Lt. Gen. Yousef Huneiti to highlight their sacrifices, role and contributions to the development of the Kingdom.
For their part, the veterans expressed their appreciation of the gesture that reflects the keenness of His Majesty and the JAF to veterans, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
