AMMAN — The Italian mission in Amman plans to open a cultural centre in the capital next year, according to Italian Ambassador to Jordan Luciano Bizzotti.
Speaking during a ceremony on Wednesday organised by the Royal Film Commission in cooperation with the Italian and Swiss embassies to mark "World Italian Language Week", the diplomat said that the Italian language is becoming more popular among students in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Head of Diplomatic Affairs at the Swiss Embassy Jay Edouard said that his country also celebrates the Italian language, since it is one of the nation’s four official languages and plays an important part in Swiss culture.
