Italian Cuisine Week to showcase traditional methods, recipes

AMMAN — The Italian embassy in Amman will hold activities as part of the Italian Cuisine Week on November 19-25.

Organised in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency in Amman, the Jordan Hotel Association, Ammon Applied University College of Hospitality and Tourism Education and the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, the event will open with an Italian cooking seminar broadcasted by some Jordanian television networks.

It will showcase aspiring Jordanian chefs and the preparation of some typical Italian recipes, while a day dedicated to the preparation of Ligurian sauce, together with the Iraqi boys of the catering project "Mar Yousef" of Amman will mark the middle of the week.

The event will conclude with pastry chef and chocolatier Federico Anzellotti teaching students of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts of Jordan some recipes for Italian sweets.
