AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Sunday inaugurated several Royal initiative projects in Amman’s Muwaqqar District.
During the visit, Issawi also inspected other projects currently under implementation, which are being carried out in accordance with Royal directives to improve the level of services provided to residents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In his first stop, Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, opened a primary healthcare centre in the Zmailat area, in the presence of Minister of Health Ibrahim Baddour and Amman Governor Yasser Adwan.
Issawi toured the 800-square-metre facility, which includes clinics for general medicine, dentistry, gynaecology, and maternity and childcare, alongside a pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray room, emergency department and medical records section.
The establishment of the centre aims to boost primary healthcare services and elevate the standard of medical treatment provided to citizens in the district.
Accompanied by Adwan, Zaha Cultural Centre Executive Director Rania Sbeih and Muwaqqar Municipal Committee Chairman Ghazi Raqqad, Issawi also inaugurated a public park in the Nuqayrah area, designed to provide a recreational space for families and children.
The park features green spaces, safe children's play areas with sandy and rubber flooring, pedestrian walkways, shaded seating areas and public utilities.
Following the inaugurations, Issawi inspected the construction of a multi-purpose hall in the Umm Batma area, where the completion rate has reached 85 per cent.
The project spans a total land area of 5,355 square metres with a built-up area exceeding 360 square metres, aiming to host social, cultural and national events for the local community.
He also inspected a five-a-side football pitch project in the Rujm Al Shami area, where the facility is designed to serve local youth and invest their energy in sports activities.
In remarks to the press, Issawi said that these Royal initiative projects in Muwaqqar were implemented under Royal directives following His Majesty King Abdullah’s continuous visits and meetings with local communities.
He added that these projects aim to reinforce essential health and community services, noting that Royal initiatives across the Kingdom complement national plans to improve public services.
