AMMAN — Royal Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, on Thursday checked on a number of projects in Balqa, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Issawi, accompanied by Housing Minister Sami Halasa, checked on projects of 400-unit housing and a sports complex in the Jordan Valley, the Salt industrial estate, the new Salt Hospital and the semi-Olympic swimming pool.
In a press interview, Issawi said that the projects came upon directives of His Majesty King Abdullah during a field visit to Balqa, 35km northwest of Amman, where he met with some of the governorate’s residents. The projects aim to improve the living conditions of citizens in Balqa.
