Islamist Reform bloc criticises gov’t economic measures
By JT - Jan 18,2018 - Last updated at Jan 18,2018
AMMAN —The Lower House’s Islamist Reform bloc on Thursday criticised the recent government economic measures included in the 2018 general budget, a statement from the bloc said.
The bloc said that the measures have “severely” worsen the economic situation of Jordanians by imposing “unbearable” taxes, lifting subsidies of bread, raising prices of electricity, fuel and several essential commodities including medicine.
“That was the reason behind boycotting the House’s session, in which the budget was endorsed”, said the bloc.
