Irbid to launch awareness campaigns on drug use, unlawful discharge of firearms

AMMAN — Irbid’s Governor Radwan Otoum on Monday launched a media campaign to raise awareness in an effort to battle drug use and the unlawful discharge of firearms.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Otoum said the campaign was launched under directives from the Interior Ministry due to the increasing spread of these dangerous phenomena that threaten Jordan’s economy, safety and security, as well as the well-being of its society and citizens.
