Irbid electricity company warns over bill payment scams

AMMAN — Irbid District Electricity Company (IDECO) has warned its subscribers against trusting people posing as bill collectors, persuading them that they could pay without having to visit the official centres affiliated with the company, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Monday.

Issmat Twaiq, the head of the IDECO public relations department, said this option of directly paying bills to collectors is not available. Twaiq urged subscribers to always check with IDECO over issues related to payment collection.
