Iraq media team tours hospitals to promote 'therapeutic tourism'

AMMAN — The Private Hospitals Association (PHA) on Saturday hosted a media team from Iraq's Kurdistan Region to promote therapeutic tourism in the Kingdom.
The media team consisted of correspondents, journalists, photographers and a doctor from Iraq's Kurdistan Region. During the visit, which was organised in cooperation with the Consulate General of Jordan in Erbil, the team toured a number of private hospitals, including Jordan Hospital, Amman Hospital, The Specialty Hospital, Essra Hospital, Ibn Al Haytham Hospital and Farah Hospital.
The team was also briefed on advanced treatments these hospitals provide to patients from around the world, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the team's visit, the PHA's President Fawzi Hammouri reviewed the medical achievements in Jordan over the past five decades, which has made Jordan a destination for foreign patients and is among leading countries in the fields of treatment and hospitalisation.
