Investment minister, Norwegian ambassador talk economic cooperation

AMMAN — Investment Minister Kholoud Saqqaf and Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan Espen Lindbæck on Thursday went over means to enhance cooperation between the two countries, mainly at the investment and economic levels.
During the meeting, Saqqaf stressed the importance of investment relations between the two countries, which are continually developing, highlighting the importance of Jordanian-Norwegian partnership, according to a ministry statement.
The minister reviewed the most important competitive advantages of the Jordanian economy and the importance of the Kingdom's strategic position, which has allowed Jordanian producers to reach more than 1.5 billion consumers through free trade agreements and large-scale global bilateral agreements.
For his part, Lindbæck referred to endeavours to enhance investments and jobs in the Kingdom through supporting Jordan’s economic reform programmes, enhancing bilateral trade and cooperation in innovation and boosting investments from Norwegian companies in Jordan.
