Investment minister, Abu-Ghazaleh urge knowledge-based investment

AMMAN — Minister of State for Investment Affairs and Jordan Investment Commission Chairman Muhannad Shehadeh on Monday discussed with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and president of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group (TAG) proposed strategic plans to encourage investment in knowledge, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two sides stressed the importance of transforming creativity into projects and investments that economically benefit the country, bearing in mind that giants like Amazon and other major companies are knowledge-based businesses.
The two sides also discussed a suggestion to issue a guide to investment in Jordan that targets potential foreign investors, outlining the investment environment in the Kingdom, including an explanation of all relevant legal procedures, necessary licences, taxes and exemptions and intellectual property rights.
