Investigators retrieve stolen JD139,000

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) agents retrieved JD139, 000 that was stolen from an apartment in Jabal Zohour neighbourhood in Amman and arrested two suspects in 48 hours, a Public Security Department statement said Monday.

Investigators identified the prime suspect, who is an acquaintance of the victim’s, after collecting evidence, and he confessed to committing the crime with the help of two accomplices.

CID agents found the stolen money hidden in an apartment identified by the suspect, and they also arrested one of his alleged accomplices. The investigation is still under way, the statement said.
