Int@j to launch 5-day innovation, entrepreneurship event at Expo 2020 Dubai

AMMAN — The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) on Wednesday announced the launch of an event titled “Jordanian Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship in Dubai - JOITED”.
Int@j, during a virtual press conference, said that JOITED is a five-day event that will be held from February 21 to February 25.
The event will start with a forum on February 21, followed by an exhibition over the next four days from February 22 to 25 at the Jordanian pavilion at Expo 2020, according to an int@j statement.
The event aims to promote Jordan as a digital technology and innovation hub in the region and to make way for Jordanian companies to network with major regional and international companies as well as investment funds, the statement said.
Chairman of int@j Amjad Swais said that the event aims to promote Jordan’s IT and entrepreneurship sectors.
He added that CEOs, founders of IT and startup companies, clients, and public figures will participate in the sessions with an expected attendance of more than 400 people.
The int@j chairman also expressed gratitude to the ministries of Investment and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as well as the Jordanian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai, the Jordan Business Council in Dubai and partners of int@j for their support.
General Commissioner of the Jordanian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai and Secretary General of the Ministry of Investment Zaher Qatarneh underscored the support of the government and the Ministry of Investment for entrepreneurial and creative projects, especially among youth.
Deputy Chairman of the Jordan Business Council in Dubai Bashar Kilani said that this event will provide a platform to showcase Jordanian success stories.
