Interior Ministry launches unified database for foreigners

AMMAN — The Ministry of Interior on Tuesday began implementing a new project aimed at launching a unified database to regulate foreigners' entry and residence in the Kingdom.

The "database guides for immigration policies" project is supported by the Danish government in cooperation with related government and security entities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The project is considered as a "qualitative leap" at regional level, as Jordan is one of the first countries adopting this approach to provide services to foreigners.

It is directed towards integrating and consolidating a wide variety of data in a single reference to government entities concerned with foreigners' affairs, according to the ministry.
