Interior minister visits Gendarmerie Department

AMMAN — Interior Minister Ghaleb Zu’bi on Thursday visited the Gendarmerie Department and met with its director, Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Zu’bi stressed the pivotal role of the department as part of the national security system, noting the importance of coordination among security agencies. For his part, Hawatmeh said the department is implementing its strategy in line with Royal directives and based on the rule of law and enhancing security.

Also on Thursday, the interior minister met with several governors at the ministry to discuss security measures related to safeguarding factories and other investments across the Kingdom.
