Interior minister urges security bodies to prepare for tourism season

AMMAN — As the holy month of Ramadan and the holiday season fall in the summer. Interior Minister Mazen Qadi on Thursday urged security bodies and governors to prepare plans and programmes to ensure a “pleasant” stay for tourists and returning expats.
Speaking at a meeting he headed at the Public Security Department (PSD), Qadi said the most important base for investment in any country is having a secure and stable environment to make investors feel safe, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the meeting attended by PSD Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi, Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, Civil Defence Department Assistant Director General Maj. Gen. Khaled Dabbas and senior officers from the three departments, Qadi highlighted the importance of continuing the implementation of security campaigns to face and prevent crimes.
