AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Monday called for documenting the Kingdom’s “successful management” of the COVID-19 crisis, to form a model for a future “positive national response” to crises.
Hammad made these remarks during a meeting at the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management with governors, Director of Operations at the centre’s crisis cell Brig. Gen. Mazen Faraiah and first councillor at the centre Jamal Madain to discuss means to enhance crisis management coordination between governorates and the centre.
The minister highlighted the importance of having prepared plans to deal with all local and international crises, noting that the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, security apparatuses and other stakeholders have played an “effective role” in responding to this crisis, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
