Interior minister holds talks with UAE, Spain ambassadors

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Thursday met the UAE’s Ambassador to Jordan Ahmed Balushi to affirm Jordan’s keenness to strengthen relations. During the meeting, Hammad and Balushi pointed to a need to bolster ties in order to best serve the two countries’ citizens.

Also on Thursday, Hammad met with Spanish Ambassador to Jordan Aránzazu Bañón Dávalos to discuss means of fostering bilateral cooperation, specifically in the fields of security, policing and development.

The interior minister also stressed the importance of learning from Spain’s experience in decentralisation. For her part, Dávalos expressed the Spanish government’s desire to further develop cooperation between the two countries to achieve common interests.
