Interior minister discusses security issues with police chief

AMMAN — Interior Minister Ghaleb Zu’bi on Tuesday visited the Public Security Department (PSD) and met with its director, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sarhan Faqih, a PSD statement said. Zu’bi and Faqih discussed several issues related to security, the rule of law, and dealing with crimes.

Zu’bi stressed the importance of coordination among various agencies to intensify security campaigns. For his part, Faqih said the PSD is preparing a comprehensive security strategy to cope with the accelerating crime rate and the surfacing of new types of crime. As part of the visit, the minister toured the PSD’s command and control centre.
