AMMAN — The Northern Military Zone, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department, on Monday foiled an infiltration attempt by two people from Syria into the Kingdom.

A source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday said that security personnel applied the rules of engagement that led to the retreat of the infiltrators into Syrian territories, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Searching the area, the personnel found several bags of crystal substance and 13 palm-sized sheets of hashish that were referred to the concerned authorities, the source added, stressing that JAF will apply “full force” to thwart any infiltration or smuggling attempts to protect the Kingdom’s borders and citizens.
