Illegal well discovered in Jerash — Water Ministry

AMMAN — Water Ministry personnel, in cooperation with Preventive Security Department personnel in Jerash, have discovered a well that illegally pumps water to a farm in the governorate’s Jazazeh area, the ministry announced on Monday.

Technical teams from the ministry raided the farm and seized a drilling rig, the ministry said, noting that an investigation is still ongoing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The ministry urged the public to report any illegal wells through the unified emergency number 117116 that receives complaints round the clock.
