AMMAN — Ibrahim Tarawneh was elected president of the Jordan Dental Association (JDA) for the 2016-2019 term, the head of the committee supervising the JDA elections, Hashem Haddadin, announced on Friday.
Tarawneh received 1,002 votes, while his opponent Ahmad Qadiri received 949 votes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. A total of 1,988 dentists cast their ballots out of 3,191 eligible voters.
