IAEA begins assessment of nuclear project infrastructure

AMMAN — Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Monday began a comprehensive review of the Kingdom’s infrastructure for the nuclear energy programme, according to Energy Minister Mohammad Hamed.
The review is aimed at assessing the current situation of the infrastructure and identifying priorities to enhance the local nuclear programme.
The minister stressed the importance of nuclear energy for Jordan in the medium and long term, highlighting the strong cooperation between Jordan and the IAEA.
