House speaker thanks US for support

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday met with US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells and discussed the regional situation and the Kingdom’s reform efforts.

The two officials highlighted the depth of relations and discussed ways to enhance them.

Tarawneh thanked the US for its support to Jordan, calling on the international community to commit to its role towards the Syrian refugee crisis.

Wells said the US seeks to support Jordan’s economic policies and reform measures.
