AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Sunday said the House has sought Arab, African, Asian and international support for the freezing of Israel’s membership in the Inter-Parliamentary Union for actions against the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Meeting secretaries general of leftist and pan-Arab parties, Tarawneh said the House has convened in two special meetings to discuss the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip and participated in the emergency meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Union in Cairo for that purpose.

Tarawneh also presented a briefing on the House’s legislative achievements and its handling of national issues.
