House refers draft 2023 budget law to financial committee

AMMAN — The Lower House on Monday referred the draft 2023 budget law to the Parliamentary Financial Committee.

The Chamber referred the bill to committee after Finance Minister Mohamad Al-Ississ delivered the budget speech in a session that was chaired by Speaker Ahmad Safadi in the presence of Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and other Cabinet members, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

MPs reviewed remarks on the budget, and called on the government to find fundamental solutions to the economic challenges facing the Kingdom, alleviate the suffering of citizens and solve poverty and unemployment.
