AMMAN — Members of the Lower House’s Palestine Committee on Monday met with presidents of Palestinian refugee camp councils in Jordan.
MP Yihya Saud noted that the panel is working to address problems facing refugee camps in coordination with the concerned bodies.
He noted that the committee has sent a request to the Royal Court to increase the number of Royal makruma university seats for students from Palestinian refugee camps.
The heads of camp councils underlined the refugees’ rejection of designating Jordan as an alternative homeland for Palestinians, highlighting difficulties facing refugees, including poverty and unemployment.
