House completes selection of committee members

AMMAN — The Lower House on Monday completed the selection of members of its permanent committees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In morning and evening sessions, deputies named the members of the House’s committees on foreign affairs, integrity and transparency, women and family affairs, Palestine, economy and investment, agriculture and water, public services and transport, and media and national guidance.

They also selected members of the health and environment; tourism and antiquities; labour, social development and population; education; administrative; and order and conduct committees. Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh called on committee members to convene on Tuesday to elect their respective panels’ chairpersons, vice chairpersons and rapporteurs, Petra added.
