Hot, dry weather forecast for weekend

AMMAN — Hot and dry weather is forecast around the Kingdom for Friday, according to the Jordan Meteorology Department (JMD).
The weather department said it will be very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with clouds appearing at different altitudes and northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
The JMD warned against staying in the sun for an extended period of time, especially during midday.
The department cautioned of the possibility of low visibility in the badia due to dust formation.
On Saturday, a slight decrease in temperatures is forecast, with the weather becoming relatively hot in hilly areas and hot around the rest of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said, forecasting a slight decrease of temperatures on Sunday.
The temperatures in Amman on Friday will see a high of 36°C during daytime and a low of 23°C at night, while on Saturday temperatures are expected to range between 35°C and 22 °C.
In Zarqa, temperatures are forecast to hover between 37°C and 22 °C on Friday, and 36°C and 21°C on Saturday.
In Aqaba, temperatures on Friday will reach a maximum of 42°C and drop to 29°C overnight, while Saturday is likely to witness a high of 41°C and a low of 28°C.
