AMMAN — The committee tasked with administering the Himmat Watan (A Nation’s Effort) fund on Thursday approved the disbursal of JD27 million to the National Aid Fund (NAF). The disbursement aims at allowing the NAF to implement a special programme to support beneficiaries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jamal Sarairah, deputy head of the Himmat Watan fund’s committee for administering donations, said that the disbursal aims at meeting the basic needs of daily wage workers affected by measures implemented to contain the coronavirus pandemic in Jordan. Sarairah said that the donations received by the fund so far total JD79,568,265.
