Higher Population Council says Syrian refugees number 1.4 million

AMMAN — The Higher Population Council (HPC) on Wednesday said Syrian refugees in the Kingdom now number 1.4 million.

During a meeting with members of the Jordanian women parliamentarians’ forum, HPC Secretary General Sawsan Majali stressed the importance of establishing an institution dedicated to providing and collecting data on immigrants and expatriates.
