‘Heatwave to subside as of today’

AMMAN — The heatwave currently affecting the Kingdom is expected to subside as of Thursday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday. Hot and dry weather is forecast to prevail across the Kingdom while remaining 3-4 degrees above the annual average on Thursday, Petra reported, quoting the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) Director General Hussein Momani.
It will be hot in hilly areas and very hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with some cloud cover and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds. On Friday, the weather is forecast to be relatively hot in hilly areas and hot in other areas. Temperatures are expected to range between 25-37 ºC in Amman, 24-34ºC in northern regions, 17-35ºC in southern regions and 29-41ºC in Aqaba.
