Health Ministry prepares winter emergency plan

AMMAN — The Ministry of Health on Saturday announced its readiness to implement the emergency and response plan, which have been developed in preparation for the 20121-2022 winter season, by raising its capabilities to the highest and required level.

The plan, prepared by the ministry’s department of crisis management in cooperation with other stakeholders, focuses on maintaining a strategic reserve of medicines, vaccines, among other medical supplies.

A committee, formed under the plan, will be in permanent session, and inform operating rooms to enhance health sites with required needs, notably medical and nursing staff, besides medical and technical supplies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
