Health minister, Danish ambassador discuss cooperation in medical field

AMMAN — Health Minister Firas Al Hawari and Danish Ambassador to Jordan Kristoffer Vivike on Thursday discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the health field. Hawari stressed the "deep-rooted” nature of relations between the two countries and emphasised the need to provide support for the health sector in Jordan to deal with the refugee crisis that have put pressure on the sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The health minister expressed his appreciation for the Danish contribution to the joint grant fund, through which the implementation of health projects and programmes was supported. The donation also contributed to the expansion of quality health services, the positive effects of which were reflected on citizens and refugees alike. Following the meeting, Vivike visited Al Bashir Hospital, a project implemented in part by contributions from the Danish government and other countries.
