AMMAN — Minister of Health Saad Jaber on Sunday met with British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind over furthering the two countries’ cooperation in the health sector and measures set to handle the epidemiological situation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, Jaber briefed the ambassador and an accompanying delegation on the government's preventive measures to combat the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The British envoy lauded Jordan's “successful response” to the pandemic, expressing the UK's readiness to cooperate with the Kingdom, mainly support to health projects and means to alleviate the government's burdens, as Jordan hosts a large number of Syrian refugees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
