Heads of election committees take oath of office ahead of polls

AMMAN — Heads of electoral committees in the Kingdom on Saturday took the oath of office before commissioner of the Independent Elections Commission in preparation for the parliamentary elections slated for September 20.

Heads of electoral district committees in Amman took the oath before Commissioner Samar Haj Hassan, while other heads in the central region took the oath before Commissioner Zuhair Abu Fares, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Heads of committees in the northern region took the oath before Commissioner Nayef Al Ibrahim, and heads of the southern region before Commissioner Nazih Ammarin, Petra added. The IEC will publish the names of heads of electoral district committees on its website www.iec.jo.
