Head of Senate friendship committee meets Italian ambassador

AMMAN — Chairman of the Senate's Jordanian-Italian Friendship Committee senator Bassam Haddadin on Wednesday met Italy's Ambassador to Jordan Fabio Cassese over advancing cooperation between the nations in various fields.

Highlighting the “deep” relations between Amman and Rome, notably in the parliamentary field, Haddad drew attention to the need to revitalise mutual partnerships in the tourism and religious tourism sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The Italian diplomat said that Jordan is a major religious tourism destination.

He stressed ongoing cooperation in various fields, also highlighting the mutual relations related to key international and regional issues.
