Head of House committee meets Ukraine’s ambassador

AMMAN — Head of the Jordanian-European Parliamentary Friendship Committee Khladoun Heyna on Monday highlighted the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

During a meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador to Jordan Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Heyna said that His Majesty King Abdullah has rebuilt momentum towards the Palestinian cause in the international and regional fora, adding that Jordan spares no effort to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The envoy stressed the deep-rooted Jordanian-Ukrainian ties, expressing appreciation of Jordan’s stances towards her country. On the Palestinian cause, the diplomat expressed her country’s support of the two-state solution in agreement with the Kingdom’s position.
